BOTTOM SHELF is a collectively organized project in Brussels dedicated to queer literature, queer community, and communal learning. A non-commerical space where folks can meet, gather, and connect... acting also as a home for books/zines/texts/writings, to collect and share community knowledge.

Engaging with queer literature: readings, book launches, open-mics.

Collective learning: workshops in zine-making, text-pirating, creative writing.

Reading groups & communal writing sessions.

Non-commercial hang out space, every Friday 17:00 - 21:00 (ish)

non-commercial + anti-capitalist: transparent pricing in the café; funds from events redistributed to artists & social causes.

polyvocal & multilingual: language is not an obstacle to engaging. the library collection includes a range of languages, and events are linguistically fluid.

inclusive & warm: a space where all are welcome to join, alone or with friends & neighbors.
